Horse riding
Horse riding is the third most popular of the New Forest leisure activities. Even if you're not a horse owner then you can still enjoy the delights of the Forest from horseback by spending a few hours at one of the local riding schools.

Isle of Wight
Take the heritage train from Brockenhurst purchasing a ticket for train and ferry.
The train terminates at Lymington Pier right by the ferry for a 30 minute sail to Yarmouth.
There are buses or walks around the island. Nicknamed "The Land That Time Forgot" the Isle of Wight is packed full of charm.

Lymington
This beautiful, Georgian market town is situated on the southern edge of the New Forest, just 5 miles away from Brockenhurst. The town is world renown as a sailing resort; there are two large marinas. Lymington has a number of interesting independent shops including some designer boutiques. On Saturday a market is held in the High Street, the origins of which probably date back to the 13th century.

The New Forest Tour
